19" Antique Unmarked Metal Head Shoulder Plate Cloth Body Doll Nicely Dressed
Doll's head is made of tin/metal and is unmarked on chest plate. His eyes open and close and his coloring is very nice. The back of the head shows very light rubs on the edges of the metal. The body is sturdy cloth stuffed and you can see some of it in the photos. The lace on the outfit so delicate I don't want to remove his clothing. I can feel his arms are bisque and go up to his elbows. I believe the hands may have been painted.
His outfit is adorable. It's a 2-piece black velvet jacket and matching knickers and a red sash that hooks on the side. The jacket is trimmed with delicate lace that could use some stitches. The jacket snaps down the front and buttons covered with buttons. He's wearing black socks and lace shoes.
