*I use this film to wet sand and dry sand. Simply stick a piece onto your hand sanding pad, and the film/abrasive is completely waterpoof. I just used this film to wet sand old varnish off the toe rail of the sailboat. This film cuts so well and quickly that wet sanding the old varnish is much faster than stripping it off. The old varnish fills the paper quickly, but I just hosed it off with a garden hose. The film will not come off the pad no matter how much you hose it off. When I was finished, I could barely tell the used piece from new. Then I dry sanded the same way with the finer grits until the toe rail was perfect.
